The New Psychology of Achievement

The New Psychology of Achievement by Brian Tracy

Recently I came across a book called ‘Eat that Frog’.

I was so impressed with the author’s inspirational message that I purchased his package ‘The New Psychology of Achievement’. I can safely say, that in just a short period of time, by putting his methods into action this has changed my life.

Strong words, hey? But it is true.

Why it is Good for Me?

Before I explain why I believe it will be so good for you here’s why it’s the perfect tool for me right now.

For over 30 years I have worked as an osteopath, naturopath and acupuncturist here in the UK. I am successful in this field but it is a hands on occupation; if I’m not there it doesn’t work. Therefore, over the years I have searched for opportunities online to bring me income for the last lap of my life.

Eventually, after checking out and trying many other ‘opportunities’, I came across Wealthy Affiliate. This company is excellent. (Click here if you want to find out more.) However, I have never been that organised, never had more than a vague plan other than that as long as I tried to do good in my dealings with others all would turn out well

“By failing to plan you plan to fail” – Brian TracyBuilder has no Plan

Brian Tracy says, and I paraphrase: “You wouldn’t employ a builder, buy a load of materials and say, ‘Build me a house.’”

The builder would ask: “Where’s the plan?”We need a plan.

He also points out that we come into this life without an instruction manual and many of us don’t find out how to get the best out of this fantastic organisation that is our mind/body and spirit until it’s nearly over.

The combination of Wealthy Affiliate’s training in online marketing with The New Psychology of Achievement means certain success.

Why is this information important?

Less than 3% of the population have written goals. That means 97% are living aimlessly.

The ideas are not new; some of the philosophy harks back to Aristotle and the Bible. What Brian Tracy has done is to research the behaviour of successful people, and he’s analysed and condensed it into a working model based around the 27 mental laws of success. What is new is that he has put it all together in an easy-to-understand way. When you read his words and listen to him you realise that his words are true. If you can clearly imagine something and you deeply, sincerely want to achieve this goal and are prepared to pay the price, i.e. do what is necessary/make the necessary sacrifices you will achieve your goal.

What are the 27 Laws?

Because of copyright issues I can’t list them but you get a pdf with the package plus six mp3s or cds The audios run through the laws and give step-by-step explanations of what they are and how you should deal with them. They are a fantastic way of keeping your mind focused when listening while travelling, doing chores etc.

He deals with the “Law of Attraction” and discusses why, when many people know about this, in many cases, they don’t get the results they want. He says it is because “The Law of Attraction” is just one part of the puzzle and application of the other aspects need to be addressed.

Success is the main topic. Success can mean different things to different people. This is comprehensively addressed and the program works for whatever field you want: business, health, creativity, relationships. I especially like his material on the Super Conscious Mind and his technique for identifying what your real priorities and goals are.

For example, if you knew you were going to die in six months what would you want to accomplish? If there were no barriers to what you wanted, and you were guaranteed to succeed, what would you do? His take on this is as before: if you can write it down and imagine it you can do it (if you are prepared to pay the price).

 Practical Steps

Although I am painting the big picture here he does give practical realistic steps. It’s not practical to aim at earning £100,000 by next year if you are only earning £20,000 and there’s not much chance of becoming president of the US or aiming to become King or Queen of England. What he is saying is that with the right mind set, with persistence and through working step-by-step you can achieve more than you ever thought possible.I recommend this to any one who is looking to realise their full potential in life.

Just to repeat if you were to combine the training available at Wealthy Affiliate with the discipline outlined in The New Psychology of Achievement you could not fail in your online endeavours
